I've used "ntpasswd" on stand alone machines and thought it could only
change local machine accounts and not active directory accounts. However,
the following link shows how to use it on a domain controller. Yea baby!
Unfortunately, "ntpasswd" may not work on Win2k with latest SP. Bummer.

If someone else is a Domain Admin then you can log into the system without a
problem.  If you don't have any other Domain Admin accounts then I recommend
this free tool:

If you don't want free and need a commercial tool Winternals has a Admin
pack that does this as well.

Largest issue you have is if the FS is on a RAID system/disk and getting
drivers to mount the RAID system.
